๐Ÿ’ฌ About Lake Sinclair

Lake Sinclair is one of Central Georgia's most beloved recreational lakes โ€” a 15,300-acre gem on the Oconee River that straddles Putnam, Baldwin, and Hancock counties. Created in 1953 by Georgia Power, the lake has been a fishing and recreation destination for generations of Georgia families. Largemouth bass, striped bass, crappie, catfish, and bream provide excellent angling year-round, and the lake hosts major fishing tournaments throughout the warmer months. Beyond fishing, Lake Sinclair offers swimming, water skiing, jet skiing, kayaking, and the kind of relaxed lakeside living that makes Putnam County such a desirable place to call home. Public boat ramps provide easy access for day visitors.
